#SPRINGFIELD 1898 REPLACEMENT TRIGGER CRACK#
Action is very smooth, the bore is good with some scattered pitting, markings are clear and the refinished wood stocks are good with a crack observed from the cutout for the bolt handle to the cutout for the magazine & repairs/inlayed wood in the bolt handle cutout & on the left side of the butt. Rifle exhibits approximately 10% of it's blued finish with the majority of the finish retained on the triggerguard & buttplate and the balance of the metal surfaces displaying an aging grey patina. The buttplate apears regiment or armory marked with "41/F.N.J" stamped into the upper tang. Features a blued finish, 22" barrel, blade front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards with a flip-up aperture sight leaf, single barrel band, side-mounted hinged magazine with cut-off on the left side of the receiver, straight bolt handle, Mauser style safety, smooth trigger, sling swivels, smooth walnut handguard and straight grip shoulder stock with finger grooves in the forend, trapdoor metal buttplate & "JLA/1903" cartouche.
